Coco palm dhuni kolhu baa atoll1/5/2024 The breakfast and dinner options were plentiful and delicious! We did the beach BBQ which was a must do. We did half board which was perfect for us. We would sit out on our deck to watch falling stars while listening to the sea. The stars at night were amazing! We often left our doors and windows open to allow the warm sea breeze in. Remember, the island is small to begin with. Some have mentioned that the lagoon villas are far from the restaurants and bars, true, but we didn’t mind at all. We loved the walks to the restaurant and bars through the jungle pathways which provided a respite from the heat of the beach during the day. The resort said they were at about 70 percent occupancy but many times we felt like we were the only ones on the island. We saw fish, sharks, stingrays and even dolphins right from our deck. The crystal clear and warm water was just amazing. The lagoon villa was just lovely and was extremely clean and exactly what we were looking for. It was a very long journey from California but so worth it! It was a dream come true! We absolutely loved our stay at Coco Palm and would return in a heartbeat if it wasn’t so far away. My husband and I spent seven nights in an over the water lagoon villa. I read some of the negative reviews before coming to try and get a feel for the downsides but honestly can’t work out what kind of people left them as we didn’t experience or see any of the issues raised. If you want good internet buy a SIM card at one of the two mobile shops at airport (USD32 for 14days 15GB of data and calls) and you can even tether it to a laptop/iPad if you need to, it works really well. Highly recommended for those who want to really chill out Toilet and shower semi-outside may not greet everyone however it’s the same style in most Maldivian resorts (incl the premium ones) and something that really gets you closer to nature (ladies, honestly don’t worry, it’s fine) The buffet doesn’t tire on you and their policy to allow a USD45 pp credit if you want to dine in the Thai restaurant is really good. A genuine paradise island, not trying to be a flashy hotel, just being good at what it is.įood is of exceptional quality. This is a well run resort very sympathetic to its environment. Furthermore, one can spend their time in Jacuzzi’s, bathrooms overlooking the lagoon, large sundecks, plunge pools and of course a load of exclusive, luxurious finishes.īesides all these, for the ones in need of a truly extraordinary holiday, a huge, 1657 sqft suite greets its occupants, offering direct access to the lagoon. We really enjoyed our stay at CoCo Palm. Open air garden bathrooms are also available, for those in need of feeling close to nature. Some of the homes are provided with sunken baths inside their garden bathrooms, plunge pools on the terrace, four-poster beds with white mosquito nets. Some villas are lifted off the ground, providing breathtaking views of the ocean, while others are built to assure guests a little bit of privacy, being hidden among huge palm trees. On it, one can find the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu villa complex, a luxurious resort that meets its guests with open arms.Īll sorts of amenities are provided here, like exotic, elegant interiors, great panoramas and deluxe design. For those in need of a hot getaway, dreaming of white sandy beaches, blue ocean, palm trees and lush tropical vegetation there is a spot in the Maldivian archipelago, an island called Dhuni Kolhu that belongs to the Baa Atoll.
